1976

Vincenzo emigrates from Naples to New York City

1984

“Vinny” opens his first pizzeria with his brothers in New Jersey

1989

Vinny moves to Philadelphia and opens his first restaurant on his own

1995

A second Philadelphia location joins the family

1998

Vinny runs four restaurants in Philadelphia. Mose and his sister Giovanna start working in the business

2007

Vinny and Mose move to Newport News and open their first restaurant together

2009

Father and son open a second location in Yorktown

2012

Giovanna takes over the Yorktown kitchen. Mose brings his daughter Atiana to Italy to meet the family’s heritage

2015

The family opens a third restaurant on Oyster Point Road, Newport News

2025

In 2007, Vincenzo and Mose Schiano moved to Newport News from Philadelphia with hopes that their father and son duo could make an impact on the Hampton Roads area.

Vincenzo brought with him his experience and love for Italian cuisine and the art of pizza making from when he was a young boy in Naples, Italy. Having the same heart and dedication as Vincenzo, it was easy for Mose to follow in his father's footsteps.

The perfect combination of experience and drive led this tag team to a very successful family friendly restaurant, with the overwhelming support from the community giving Vinny's Pizza and Pasta the reputation they always strived for.
